"My project aims to explore the inter­sec­tions of diffe­rent musical tradi­ti­ons and create a harmo­nious fusion that cele­brates cultural diver­sity. Drawing inspi­ra­tion from my Tuni­sian roots and the global influ­ences I have encoun­tered, I seek to create compo­si­tions that blend elements of jazz, world music, and elec­tronic sounds, tran­scen­ding boun­da­ries and crea­ting a unique musical expe­ri­ence. Using my skills as a guita­rist and composer, I will embark on a crea­ti­ve ­journey to weave together diverse musical styles, instru­men­ta­tion, and rhythms."

Amine Dhouibi

The guitarist and composer Dhouibi comes from the harbour city of Sousse in Tunisia, where he completed his training at the Higher Insti­tute of Music in 2015.  He worked for the "Jazz Club de Tunis" (JCT) and parti­cip­ated in various work­shops with inter­na­tional artists. He subsequently performed live in Tunisia, Germany and Belgium. His album "Resur­rec­tion" was honoured with the South African Mzantsi Jazz Award for the best newcomer album in 2021.
